Barnard
College Computing Fellows |
|
Mission: "As the use of computers in teaching and learning at Barnard has become more prevalent, the need for computing support and training has also increased. To help address this need, a cadre of students will be selected to serve as computing fellows, who will be familiarized with Barnard's computing network and will be trained in computer skills and usage. Once trained, they will assist faculty and students to provide training on specific software programs that will enhance coursework and research activities. As the program develops, computing fellows will be assigned to support courses with significant electronic content in various departments throughout the college. They will also staff the more specialized technical labs on campus, enabling more ready access to, and expanded understanding of, the capabilities provided by these facilities."
