Faculty/Staff E-Mail Server Upgrade


The faculty/staff e-mail hardware replacement took place on Saturday October 1, 2005
 
No e-mail was lost in this process.

 


The incoming server name continues to be bc.barnard.edu. Your username and password did  not change.

We migrated your Webmail address book and calendar, but you will need to reset the other Webmail preferences (color, display options, filters)

You may need to make minor adjustments in other email clients (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Macmail) including "root path folder" and "secure protocols." Detailed information about changes, configurations and options is posted below.


General notes: 


Possible problems with your folders:

 

When you log in to email for the first time after the upgrade, you may not see all of your folders immediately.  They are not lost - only hidden from view

Solutions for "missing folders"

Click on your email client below for instructions on how to adjust it.
