How to find your Hardware Address:
The Ethernet Hardware Address (or MAC Address or Physical Address) is a number that is unique to the Network Interface Card (NIC) installed on your computer. We need this 12-digit identifier in order to identify your exact problem. The Ethernet Address is a 12-digit number (can include A-F) divided into 6 pairs, e.g. 00:11:22:33:44:55.
Please be aware that each network card in a computer has a hardware address. Your computer probably has both a Local Area Connection and a Wireless Connection listed. You might need to report more than one to the Help Desk.
Windows NT/2000/XP:
-Open the Control Panel, then open Network Connections
-Double-click on Local Area Connection
-Click on the Support tab
-Click Details,
-The Physical Address should be listed first
Mac OSX:
-Click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner
-Click on About This Mac,
-Click More Info
- Choose Network in the left-hand frame, and
-The Ethernet Address should be listed last.
