Text of warning message
Subject: Alert! Your Barnard Mailbox is Almost Full
Dear Barnard Student,
Your Eclipse account is approaching its maximum size limit. If your account exceeds
90mb, you may be UNABLE TO RECEIVE NEW EMAIL MESSAGES until you move
or delete some of the messages in your account. And if your account reaches
100mb, you may NOT BE ABLE TO LOG IN to your account.
The quota on your Eclipse account includes your email, your personal web site files AND files that you have placed there via secure file transfer. If you have set up a website or store your files using secure file transfer, check your account for large or outdated files first.
If you only use your account for email, there are a number of ways to resolve this problem:
Log into your account via Webmail. In Webmail, you can purge your trash, delete sent mail, and delete old messages. If you can’t log into Webmail, you may have exceeded 100mb and you should try one of the following things:
Detailed instructions on each of these methods are available on the Resnet website: http://www.barnard.edu/resnet/emailquota.html
As always, you can call the Help Desk (x4-7172) for assistance in identifying unneeded files and messages.
