Configure the email servers as follows:
Incoming server
IMAP4:bc.barnard.columbia.edu (if this does not work, try
bc.barnard.edu)
Use Port:993
Always secure (wrapped port)
CHECK Always trust server
Outgoing server
SMTP:

Use port:25
Always secure (STARTTLS)
CHECK Always trust server
Test sending email from the TREO
If TREO beeps on "sending", try this configuration for the outgoing server:

Set a password on your TREO
To ensure better security of your data and sensitive University information, effective immediately the University is establishing a stronger security policy for smartphones. This policy will require that all smartphone users who connect to email or data files via the University network must password-protect the smartphone device and establish automatic "Security Timeout" or "Auto Lock" after 20 minutes of inactivity.
