Columbia UNI overview

All Barnard staff and students have Columbia UNIs.  Your UNI, consisting of your initials plus an arbitrary number, is the key to accessing computer services and electronic resources at Columbia. You will use it to gain access, for example, to restricted Library information on the World Wide Web and to borrow books from the Libraries

If you have never activated your UNI, you can do this now at http://www.columbia.edu/acis/tools/index.html   - see "Getting Started  -  Activate a NEW UNI Account".

If you did activate it and think you might remember the password, you can try signing in on that page at "Login to Manage Your UNI Account".

If you truly have forgotten your password, you will need to come to the Help Desk in the Lehman Computer Center (first floor of the Library) with your photo ID to have the password reset by senior staff.  Call 4-7172 to schedule an appointment.
