The Diana Center

At the Heart of Barnard College
Opening January 2010

Welcome to the Diana Center. Barnard’s newest building, designed by the award-winning architecture firm of Weiss/Manfredi, not only sits at the crossroads of our campus, but serves as the nexus of life at the College. The Diana is the hub of student activity and interaction, as well as the home to several of our noted academic programs – art, architecture, and performance. With its presence on Broadway, and its bridging of the landscapes within Barnard’s gates, the building unifies both campus and community.

Barnard students enter the Diana Center to read, to study, to learn and observe, and they stay to socialize, engage, dine and relax. Along with our neighbors, they come to events and programs, to the black box theater, the green roof, the gallery spaces, and the café.

We hope you will explore this site and see all the ways in which the Diana Center transforms Barnard. This is a building in tune with the environment, the needs of our students, the strength of our faculty, and the culture and diversity of our community. We welcome you.
