Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Geographic Information Systems enable you to envision the geographic aspects of a body of data. Barnard College has a campus license for ArcGIS, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software from ESRI. Academic Technologies can provide faculty with a copy of the software and install it. ArcGIS is installed in the student labs in Lehman Hall and the Economics Lab for students' use. 401 Altschul is also a GIS-ready classroom with 23 work stations.
