Interested in being a TA for the Barnard Mathematics Department?

 

Our TAs work in the evenings in Milbank 333, supervised by graduate students.  We are looking for students who have successfully completed Calculus II and would enjoy teaching.  You can apply any time.

Please e-mail the chair, Prof. David Bayer, with the following information:

  1. A brief statement explaining your interest in this position. You may include details about previous tutoring/teaching experiences, other qualifications and future goals

  2. School, year of graduation, major, and advisor

  3. A list of all of the math classes you have completed, accompanied by the name of the instructor and the semester & year that you took the course

  4. A list of faculty members (from either Barnard or Columbia) to be used as references

  5. Contact information:  campus address, phone number and/or cell number
