Feature Co-written by Lara Friedrich Appears in Ms. Magazine
A news feature co-written by Lara Friedrich '08 appears in the Fall 2004 issue of Ms. Magazine, on newstands now. The feature explores sexual assault in the military and the government's role in attempting to diminish its occurrence. The magazine also includes a national news short by Friedrich on a University of Missouri-Columbia psychological study on masculinity.
The work was a part of Friedrich's internship with Ms. Magazine this past summer. While there, her responsibilities also included reviewing fiction contest entries and helping to compile an electronic archive containing past issues of the magazine. Friedrich, whose major is undeclared, aspires to a career in publishing.
