Parenting Expert Ron Taffel to Present Nurturing Good Children Now, Feb. 5

New York, NY, January 16, 2003—The Barnard Center for Toddler Development will host Parents Magazine columnist Dr. Ron Taffel, who will speak on Nurturing Good Children Now: 10 Basic Skills to Protect and Strengthen Your Child’s Core Self, a presentation based on his book of the same title. Taffel, a nationally known parenting expert who has been called the Dr. Spock of today by New Woman Magazine, will speak February 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the James Room of Barnard Hall (117th St. & Broadway).

The author of five books and more than 100 articles, Taffel has spent 25 years as a family psychologist. He holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from New York University and has conducted post-graduate work in family therapy, child development, and adult psychology. He is founder and director of the Family Therapy Division at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in New York.
