Barnard "Goes to the Islands" August
9 from noon to 6 p.m.
Employees
of Barnard College are invited to attend Camp
Barnard -- the fourth annual summer picnic and
get together on August 9 from noon - 6:00 p.m.
This year Camp Barnard "goes to the Islands."
Come celebrate our campus community with food,
entertainment and door prizes.
Thursday,
August 9 will be a college-wide dress down day.
At the stroke of 12:00 noon, Barnard College will
become Camp Barnard. A variety of activities will
be provided. Those attending should complete the
activities survey they received and return it
with the registration form. Again this year, we
will provide childcare for children from five
to twelve years of age from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00
noon so that little campers can come to Barnard
even before camp officially begins!
We
are looking for volunteers -- available on their
own time -- to help prepare for camp activities
before the day itself. If you are interested in
registering and/or volunteering at Camp Barnard
please complete the registration form and forward
it to the office of Special events and Summer
Programs along with the completed Activities Survey
Form by Wednesday, August 1st.
There is no charge for employees and their immediate
families. The charge for additional guests is
$5.00 per person -- limit two (2) additional guests.
Please send in the registration form no later
than Wednesday, August 1st so we'll know how much
food to order and how many "Camp Barnard Counselors"
will be needed. Barnard employees who register
and attend will receive a Camp Barnard souvenir.
Children of Barnard employees will receive a free
Camp Barnard T-shirt.
