Career Development is pleased to announce that 30 students have been awarded internship grants as part of the Alumnae & Donor Sponsored Internship Grant Program. The Fall 2009 slate of grantees represents a 39% acceptance rate receiving a total of $23,350.00. 76% of grantees are seniors, 17% are juniors, and 7% are sophomores.
Barnard College’s Alumnae and Donor Sponsored Internship Grant Program is the successful collaboration of Career Development and alumnae, individual, and foundation donors interested in the career development of college women. Students involved in unpaid internships are eligible for Alumnae and Donor Sponsored Internship Grants in the fall, spring, and summer.
On March 9, 2010, Career Development will host an Internship Poster Session featuring the granted students from Fall 2009 and Spring 2010. Please save the date. Visit the Barnard Newscenter to read about the Internship Poster Session for students who completed internships during the summer of 2009.
