Cares: Smoke-Out 2000

Calling
all members of the Barnard community! Well-Woman,
Human Resources and Disability Services invite
you to participate in Smoke-Out 2000 on Thursday,
November 16. As we have done in the past, we are
inviting smokers to throw the pack away today
and are offering online adoption for smokers (adoptees)
and supporters (adoptors). Please complete the
online form below if you would like to participate
in any of three ways:
- As
an adoptor: you will assist a smoker who
would like to attempt to be smoke-free for the
day
- As
an adoptee: you will agree--with the assistance
of one or more adoptors--to not smoke for the
day
- As
an adoptor/adoptee duo: you know who you'd
like to adopt and have already discussed your
intention of support with a smoker/adoptee
The
deadline for the online adoption is Tuesday, November
14 @ 4 p.m. At that time, we will send confirmation
emails to all participants--and will assign adoptors
and adoptees as necessary.
On
Smoke-Out Day on Thursday, November 16, all participants
should come to the official Barnard Cares/Smoke-Out
information/resources table in Lower McIntosh
anytime from 8:30-10am to sign the official contract
and pick up your goody bag to get smokers
through the day.
