Minority Achievement on President Shapiro's Agenda

President Judith Shapiro was part of a major discussion among the presidents of two dozen colleges who are urging close examination of the experience of enrolled minority students in higher education. The presidents' group, known as the Consortium on High Achievement and Success, cited a large body of research as evidence for their concern that the problem of minority student underachievement and dissatisfaction is widespread in American higher education:
