Funded Internships in Criminal Justice, Law and
Public Service
Applications are now available for summer funded
internships in criminal justice through the Daniel and
Florence Guggenheim Foundation Internship Program /
Oscar S. Straus II Fellows in Criminal Justice. These
are full-time, funded summer internships at several
leading agencies in New York City accompanied by
seminars with other Barnard / Columbia and Princeton

Beginning next summer, ten members of the Barnard Class
of 2011 will have the opportunity to participate in the
Athena Center for Leadership Studies Summer Fellowship
Program. From June 1 to August 6, 2010, Athena Fellows
will intern with specially selected mentors in a field
of their choice, live together on the Barnard campus and
participate in educational events aimed at building
leadership skills. Athena Fellows, who will be
selected through a competitive process, will receive a
$4,000 stipend plus college subsidized housing. All
students who are interested are encouraged to attend the
information session.
