EVALUATION LEGEND

The "Instructor" score on the evaluations for lecture couses and colloquia is the average score given by students to the following:

  1. Instructor's ability to explain difficult material and improve your understanding
  2. Willingness of the instructor to respond to questions about the material delivered in lecture.
  3. Instructor's enthusiasm toward teaching this course
  4. When consulting your instructor on a problem outside of class hours, the amount of interest and helpfulness you received
  5. Instructor's knowledge of the subject matter
  6. Your overall evaluation of the instructor

The questions under "Course" differ between lecture courses and colloquia. For the lecture courses, the score is the average for:

  1. Organization of lectures
  2. Instructor's clear presentation of the material
  3. Informative value of the lectures
  4. Instructor's answers given in response to questions
  5. Effectiveness of course in stimulating critical thinking
  6. Delivery of the lecture for note-taking

For the colloquia, the average "Course" score is for:

  1. The usefulness in the way participation was structured in the colloquium in helping the student to understand the course material
  2. Instructor's participation
  3. Overall student participation
  4. Your own participation
