® ® ® ® ONLINE REGISTRATION—FALL 2008¬ ¬ ¬ ¬

The dates for online registration are August 27 - September 3, around the clock. If you are unable to complete registration by September 3, come in person to the Registrar’s Office, 107 Milbank; there will be a (progressive) late fee after September 3.

You must register through eBear. You need a valid Barnard email login and password. If you do not know your Barnard email password, go (with your ID) to the Help Desk on the first floor of the Barnard library.

You must register from a computer on the Barnard or Columbia campus. Registration is the means by which you verify that you are enrolled at the college and that you have cleared any holds, and you must be on Morningside Heights to confirm your presence.

To register: Log into eBear. Select the blue Registration tab at the top (if you are not already on that page). Click on the green Registration on the navy blue title bar below the tabs. Click on the green Registration on the left. (You will be informed if you have holds. Click on the green Registration Holds on the left to see your holds and where you need to go to clear them.) You will then see a new screen, welcoming you to Online Registration. Click on the button at the bottom to begin registering. Use the buttons at the bottom of subsequent screens to move from form to form. The last screen will tell you that you have completed the process.

MAILBOXES: EVERY STUDENT has a mailbox in Altschul. Your box number and combination are available on eBear. ALL MAIL (both United States and internal) will be distributed in Altschul. CHECK YOUR MAILBOX REGULARLY.

Pick up a form from, and return it to, 319 Milbank before the tryout. To qualify for a tryout, students must be able to teach themselves a song from a printed musical score.
  • Lessons at MSM or Juilliard. Students who have passed auditions at Juilliard or Manhattan must file a special form with the Registrar every semester by the program-filing deadline.
