INFINITY FOUNDATION
Princeton, NJ

The Infinity Foundation categorizes its two major areas of philanthropic activity as wisdom and compassion. Its programs in the area of "wisdom" are intended to encourage contemporary society to rise above Eurocentrism and appreciate the contributions to world civilization made by non-Western cultures. In particular, it seeks to improve the quality of education about India by challenging stereotypes about Indic traditions and bringing to light their often unrecognized contributions to knowledge. The Infinity Foundation is especially concerned about the prevalence of these stereotypes in American classrooms and in the media. The grants made by the foundation under the heading of "compassion" go to nonprofit organizations in the following broad program areas: charitable activities, holistic healing, and scientific, religious, and educational activities.
