First Year Residential Area (Brooks, Reid, & Sulzberger Halls)

The Quad

Location	The Quad
Population	570 first-year students (and transfer students in Brooks)
Room Layout	Double, triple, and quad occupancy corridor style rooms. Sulzberger Hall Floor Plans Brooks Hall Floor Plans Reid Hall Floor Plans
Furniture	Bed, desk, chair, dresser, and wardrobe/closet space.
Security	24-hour desk attendant at the front desks.
Internet	All rooms have ethernet jacks for wired internet access. Wireless internet access is also available.
Cable	Students may arrange cable TV service with Time Warner Cable for a fee.
Telephone	One telephone per room, equipped with one voicemail box.
Bathrooms	Shared community bathroom, cleaned daily by Facilties.
Dining Hall	Located in the Hewitt basement (all residents are required to participate in the meal plan).
Laundry	Located on each floor in Sulzberger and Between Reid and Brooks Hall
Accessibility	Sulzberger and Brooks entrances are wheelchair accessible and elevators stop at all floors.
Common Areas	Computer lab located inthe basement of Sulzberger Hall. Study and TV lounges (with kitchenettes) located in Sulzberger.
Staff	First-Year Focus Associate Director, Graduate Hall Director and 19 RAs.

Note: Smoking is not permitted in any Barnard residence hall (Smoking Policy).
