About Residential Computing

What do ACEs do?

The Residential Computing Program (Resnet) provides computing and technological support to students at Barnard College.

Academic Computing Experts (ACEs) work to assist students with computing issues. ACEs, unlike RAs, are not "on-call" 24 hours a day. They work in the Lehman Computer Center, but also hold Office Hours in the other labs.

ACEs, formerly RCAs, make appointments with students to troubleshoot in-room problems, such as problems with a jack or a desktop computer. The ACEs also troubleshoot printer problems and answer questions in the labs.

ACEs run one program per semester to promote awareness of Resnet (Love Your Computer week), as well as common technological topics or issues on campus. Visit our Past Events and Programs Documentation page for information about our past campus programs and promotional campaigns.
