Ad-Aware Tutorial

Installing Ad-Aware (Do once)

• Go to the Downloads page
• Or go straight to Ad-Aware 6.0
• Download and install (just press next)

Setting Up Ad-aware (do once)

1. Click Start, then Customize, then make sure all buttons are green:
2. Click 'Proceed' to continue.
3. Make sure "Use custom scanning options" is clicked.
4. Click 'next' to start scan.

Running Ad-Aware

• Once a week double click on the desktop icon:
• Main screen:

Updating Ad-Aware (do once a week)

1. Click on 'Check for updates now', then 'Connect', then 'OK' or 'finish':

5. When files have finished loaded, the first screen will reappear.

Scanning in Ad-Aware (do once a week)

1. After updating, click 'Start' on the main screen.
2. Click 'Next'
3. The abort button will change to 'Finish' or 'Next' button; click it.
