Print Quotas

Weekly printing quotas for students and faculty are:

• 100 sheets per week for undergraduates (College, SEAS, General Studies, Barnard), as well as a 100 page semesterly print reserve
• 20 sheets per week for graduate students (Basic Account)
• 100 sheets per week for faculty

The printers in the labs and the Library are set to print on both sides of the paper (duplex) and each two-sided sheet is charged to your account as one page. Unused pages in your quota are not carried over from week to week; you have until Saturday at midnight to use them.

Checking your Quota

There are two easy ways to determine how many pages you have left. You can either use your UNI to log into the Columbia CUIT Printing Account site, or you can check using Pine. Once you've logged into Pine, just type

pages -v

at the $ prompt.

CUIT Printing Dollars

Users with a valid UNI may purchase CUIT Printing Dollars to add more pages to their account. Pages are automatically added to your account and may be used at any NINJa printer. Log in to purchase CUIT Printing Dollars on the CUIT website.
