How NOT to Lose Your Thesis and other important data

Backing Up Tutorial

Visit the EdTech page on how to burn CDs, copy data onto your USB key, and store your files on the Barnard student server.

iPod Tutorial

You should ALWAYS back up your data and documents, so why not use your iPod?

  1. In iTunes, select iPod on the Source list, and then click the iPod Options button.
  2. In iPod preferences, click Enable disk use, and then click OK.
  3. Under My Computer, you will find your iPod with other drives. You will be able to copy files simply by dragging them into the iPod icon.
  4. Remember to eject your iPod properly. You can highlight the iPod icon under My Computer, go to File, and click on Eject.

FTP Connections
