Teaching
- Barnard College of Columbia University: 1996-present
Elementary, Intermediate and Conversational Spanish.

- New York City Board of Education: 1959-1995
Bilingual Elementary School Director, Assistant Director, Classroom teacher

- Served as Director and Assistant Director of The Hostos Academy, a bilingual-bicultural alternative elementary school in East Harlem.
Taught monolingual and bilingual classes; grades K 6.
Transposed Latin American folktales and songs into plays in Spanish.
Developed and executed experimental bilingual program. (1965).
Conducted conversational Spanish workshops for parents.
