The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, Columbia
University.
Directs and facilitates undergraduate engineering education activities including
academic planning, program assessment and EC2000 accreditation, community,
industrial and K-12 outreach, and student advising, Instruct over 350 first-year
students, per year, in the fundamentals of engineering design course. Also
teach undergraduate courses in entrepreneurship and science, technology,
and society as well as graduate-level technology management courses.

The Center for Technology, Innovation and Community Engagement, Columbia

Leads center devoted to promoting community-based learning programs, including
support for university courses and co-curricular programming; entrepreneurship
programs for students, faculty, and community members; K-12 programs for
local public school students; and workforce development programs that provide

tech companies sponsored by the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program.

Directed research on innovation, product development and teamwork. Managed
research team in conducting a series of innovation studies funded ($250,000)
by major industrial and military organizations. Editor of Current Issues
in Technology Management, a quarterly newsletter on technology management

Howe School of Technology Management, Stevens Institute of Technology, New

Taught courses in the Executive Masters for Technology Management. Developed
and delivered graduate courses in technology management, human resource
management, multifunctional teams, innovation, and organizational behavior.
Co-designed and taught the capstone course for graduate students in the General
and Technology Management programs. Developed and taught two off-campus graduate
courses - Managing the Innovation Process and Managing Multifunctional Teams
- at AT&T, Bell Labs, and Allied-Signal Corporate Headquarters. Other
courses included graduate level offerings in Organizational Behavior and
General Management; Group Dynamics Course to fourth year undergraduate
engineering students.

J. Lipton, Co., Lucent Technologies, Merrill Lynch, NYNEX, Pershing, Philadelphia
Electric Company, Tennessee Valley Authority, Texaco, and Warner Lambert.
Annual revenues reached $2 million.
1988-1990 President and Chief Operating Officer.
Tru-Run Corporation, New York, N.Y.
Responsible for the overall management of a $25 million company providing
retail products and services in 200 locations nationwide. The company employed
over 1500 Associates. Managed staff of six Senior Vice Presidents responsible
for the following departments: Accounting, Human Resources, Merchandising
& Marketing, New Business Development, Operations, and Information Systems.
Company successfully sold in 1990 to J.C. Penney Co. Responsibilities for
S&L Acquisition Company, L.P. Also included new business development,
acquisition reviews, strategic planning, human resource policy formation,
and international retail market research.
